For nearly 200 years, Martin has been creating innovative guitars that are both quality in design and sound. While a lot has changed over those 200 years, we have stayed committed to providing the best guitars for musicians worldwide. This core mission holds true in our newest member of the Road Series, the SC-13E.
The SC-13E is a performing guitarist’s dream. This acoustic-electric has a cutting-edge design, allowing for maximum playability and versatility – all while keeping players comfortable. It’s perfect for players of all sizes, including women! While this may not look like a traditional Martin, it still sounds like a traditional Martin – whether it’s plugged into the amp or not.
The SC-13E is designed with a Sitka Spruce top and a Koa Fine Veneer back and side. All with a beautiful gloss finish. The new S body shape is cut specifically for an extended range of play, allowing players to go all the way up and down the neck comfortably. The SC-13 has a built-in tuner, using Fishaman MX-T Electronics, discreetly hidden in the sound hole so that you can adjust your sound quickly without missing a beat. It’s also designed with a bullseye on the fret and an x brace to complete this non-traditional look.
The SC-13E sounds great both acoustic and amplified. I really dig the playability, sound, and color. I need one immediately!
John Oates - Hall & Oates, Rock n’ Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame
I love the playability of the SC-13E and how nice the neck feels. It plays like an arch-top, smooth and easy
Torey Harding - Music producer and session guitarist at Starstruck Entertainment
As a shredder who plays mostly electric on stage, I love the SC-13E because of it’s beauty, the great action, and the neck access that allows me pull off chops that can’t usually be played on an acoustic.
Dustin Schaefer - Lead Guitarist, Shane Smith & The Saints (Texas)
